Royal Magick is the premier traveling magic troupe specializing in crafting stage magic for portable Renaissance Faires.  Audiences love us.  Our 10 year history, experience, and reputation is one  of  providing excellent professional entertainment.
We provide educational discussions, performances, and entertainment  to schools,  libraries, and organizations.

Our  integrated and scripted 45 minute renfaire show contains one or more  "large" illusions and 10 to 15 separate effects.  What is  usually seen in a theatre we bring to within touching distance instead of only pulling tricks  from a bag or cart.
Our props, routines, costumes, characters, and design are built around Renaissance  themes, language, and looks.  Every 3 or 4 years we redo the show keeping  it fresh and tantalizing  audiences.

We provide and manage a stage surround with scenic design that shouts "something is happening here".   Other acts are usually  scheduled to  use this  "managed, professional, and period looking stage".  Using modern materials and techniques, it looks "ren-legal" while providing amenities that professional entertainers appreciate.

As merchants we  seek out  mystical, musical, and magical treasures  from our travels and offer them for sale.  What we use in the show often is available in the booth.

Can Royal Magick perform without bringing the specially designed stage surround?
DONE

Can Royal Magick perform on our provided stage?
Yes, if it fits our requirements, however, very few stages fit our requirements (stage magic is not just standup magic on a platform).  We would need to consult.  Your Faire looks and operates better if we wrap your stage with our surround, and all you have to do is just modify your platform to fit inside the surround.

What is the difference between "stage magic" and "platform magic"?
DONE

We already have a magician, why do we want Royal Magick?
You probably have a "lane act" that works well on a platform but want to step up to a "stage act" that works fantastically on a stage.  You can either add Royal Magick's act (there can never be too much magic at a Renaissance Faire) or replace your present platform act.  Professional polished entertainment.

What all do you offer our Faire?
Entertainment, characters, stage with managed stage surround ( we set it up, we maintain it, we take it down and away with us  ...  Less things for you to store until next year), ease of working, publicity.  Characters:  Not only do we do the stage shows, we also walk around between shows greeting patrons and helping them to enjoy the day with personal contact with performers.

What is the background of your troupe?
Zinger.  KT.  Silverwind.  Brutes. Zinger:

Lady Silverwind:  Is our troupe's wrangler, merchant, Med-Tech, and a bit performer for us.  She does our bookings and answers most of the questions for us.  She also helps out any of the other performers who use our stage, making sure they know where things are and that they are drinking enough water when they are at our stage.  Formally from " House of the Silverwinds" she makes some of the musical instruments we sell and runs the merchant's booth for us.  Although during the act, it seems she and Zinger dislike each other < after all their Mothers dumped them on each other> they get along quite nicely.

KT the assistant is Lady Silverwind's "run away from an unwanted marriage" niece. (at least she runs away instead of using Silverwind's more permanent solution!)

What does Royal Magick expect from our Faire?
Seating.  Location aspects.  Flat and level.  Schedule & # of shows.  Accommodations.  Merchant space.

Your fees are higher than we have been paying, how can we fit you into the budget?  Are there other ways of paying you?
Sponsorship.  Help us arrange group, corporate, and school shows during the week.  We don't expect very much from "hat" so publicize that Royal Magick is brought to you by the sponsor (or the faire) and the audience should "tip" the roving performers.

Since you are doing a private show for your sponsor, are you also for hire for other things in our area?

Of course, details and how it helps the faire.

Our Faire is more than one weekend, what are you doing the rest of the week? Living on site or being guest-ed offsite.  Advertising the faire -- guest appearances and publicity at other magic shows we perform.  Other shows -- Royal Magick specializes on Tutor period based characters and is part of the Magick Happens organization which provides Victorian, 20th century, and modern themed magic shows to groups, corporations, and schools; we would love to perform all the time we are in the area doing your renfaire.  Discuss how your arranging other shows for us can reduce our fee to your faire. Multi-weekend faires are actually more cost effective, the travel fee we charge is for us to get to and from your faire, multi-weekend fares do not usually requires us to charge you travel fees during the week.

*how long does it take you to set up/tear down?

*how many shows can you do per day?

*do you do, or not do, a "hat"? Do you HAVE to do a "hat"?

*how dangerous are your illusions (ie: fire, explosions etc.)

*how family friendly is your show (nudity, raunchy jokes, etc.)

*will my little children understand what's happening?

*why is your setup so big (can it be modified to fit location?)

*can we use your surround when you're not?

*how modular are your shows...can you adapt and change to outside influences (location, crowd, weather etc.)

Also...I'm thinking that we need an "Our Philosophy" section (what we believe about (magic, faires, kids, work, each other, etc.etc.)) Maybe a separate blurb on each character could handle that.
